modifying the date a microsoft word document was created.

I guess change your system time before making the copy? Klunky work-around but quick and I would think it should work.

Make copy of the file, delete the original, then rename copy back to original file name?

Why do you need to modify the created time of a file? This is a very unusual need.

Change the system time to the time you want to show as the created date. Open the Document and choose File... Save as... This works on pretty much anything with a "Save As" Word... Notepad... etc...

So that you can email your homework in and then change the date that the email was received so you don't fail your class?

where is the love for a spicecorp in Dallas? I can't get anyone motivated on the local board. Maybe i will come see you guys in newyork :)
